Acta Mathematica Vietnamica

Prof. Lê Văn Thiêm (29 March 1918 – 3 June 1991) was one of the most prominent scientists of Vietnam in the 20th century. Together with Prof. Hoàng Tụy and other mathematicians, he established and was the first president of Vietnam Mathematical Society. He was:

  • the first Rector of Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi University of Science;
  • the first director of the Institute of Mathematics Hanoi;
  • the first Editor-in-chief of Acta Mathematica Vietnamica.

On the occasion of Prof. Lê Văn Thiêm's centenary, Acta Mathematica Vietnamica intends to publish an issue “Nevanlinna theory and Complex Geometry in Honor of Lê Văn Thiêm's Centenary” with papers in Complex Analysis, Complex Geometry, Nevanlinna theory, Number theory and all other topics, related to the current development of mathematics in Vietnam.
